Helly Hansen is looking for a JR R& D Technical Coordinator
Responsible for the internal testing procedures and lab facilities. Assist the R&D team and R&D manager with evaluating and testing new materials and technologies. Help the material team in evaluating inline materials and quality cases. Build a performance-based fabric data base.
Key Accountabilities
Set up, manage and take care of the lab facilities making sure smooth-running function (including arrange calibration and maintenance when needed and enough supplies of consumable).
Set up, review and maintain testing protocols for all instrumentations and make sure proper clear reporting of the results is done.
Carry out testing on all the laboratory instrumentations.
Train lab facility users and make sure testing protocols and Health and Safety procedures are being followed.
Be responsible for HH Testing Manual making sure the limits and the standards are up to date.
Assist R&D team and R&D manager with evaluating and testing of new materials and technologies.
Work in close collaboration with the material team on evaluating inline materials and quality cases.
Work closely with different teams when testing and evaluation of new design is needed.
Interfacing with external testing parties and staying up to date on testing trends and technologies.

Highly motivated
Structuring and organizational skills to carry out testing
Detailed, thorough and curious
Degree in Textile Engineering or similar relevant experience
Good understanding and knowledge of textile testing principles
Technical textile understanding
Interest in lab equipment and testing
Curious and interested in new technologies and passion for innovation
Language skills must be fluent in written and spoken English
Presentation skills
Team player and strong collaboration skills
